Boca Raton Child / Newborn Photographer - Shoot and Share 2017 Results

The Shoot and Share contest results are here and I am surprised, delighted and honored. As I mentioned in my last blog post, I entered the contest this year with hopes of placing in the top 20%. I was notified that I had made it to the finalist round and nearly fell out of my chair. I have been waiting with baited breath to see how my images fared and the results are in.

Of the 20 images I submitted: four images made it to the top 30%, two images made it to the top 20%, four images made it to the top 10% and one image made it to the finalist round. The talent and inspiration I witnessed in this contest was beyond anything I could have expected. I am honored that I made it as far as I did.  As an artist, or in life in general, it is scary to put oneself out there. To allow yourself to be vulnerable, to be judged. But I also think this is a necessity if we as people hope to better ourselves. I am very proud of the work that I showcased and cannot wait to push myself to do better in 2017.

Step out of your comfort zone. Push your boundaries.  Do what you dare. And never stop growing.
